MAIN STREET CONTINUED — WYANDOTTE CORRIDOR, WINDSOR ONTARIO
This slideshow requires JavaScript.

Today I went out with the Digital Journalism “Studio” class to walk Wyandotte Street East. This is the corridor that my wife avoids. She calls it “ugly.” I find it fascinating — handprinted signs, barking dogs in alleyways, mid-eastern bakeries, shoe repair outlets, cafes, used furniture shops … I took the class to a cramped Windsor Shoe Repair place, run by a Lebanese couple. Gracious, smiling, accommodating. I just walked in through the door and introduced myself, and within seconds, the class was inside, and so was the sunshine on this winter day. These photos are part of my “Main Street” project.
